Job Profile Summary

Roles in the Associate Reliability Engineering supports the development of products that align to the requirements of the customer.

Role Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
- Conducts ongoing administration of data layer, application and infrastructure.​
- Supports the availability, performance monitoring, and capacity planning for data and application layers using a variety of toolsets.​
- Assists the team with improving the efficiency of the whole lifecycle of services from inception and design, through deployment, operation, and refinement.​
- Supports services before they launch through activities such as system design consulting, developing software platforms and frameworks, capacity planning, and launch reviews.​
- Maintains services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and overall system health.​
- Practices sustainable efficient incident response.​
- Writes highly optimised accurate code for LSEG products and solutions.​
- Proactively continues to build and apply relevant domain knowledge that may relate to workflows, data pipelines, business policies, configurations and constraints

Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics / Electrical Engineering

Scope includes clearly defined activities such as monitoring, incident support, or automation. The impact is learning how
reliability contributes to safe delivery while helping maintain system stability.​

Technical: I follow platform standards and learn reliability fundamentals including basic scripting, observability methods,
recovery processes, and proactive monitoring. I dive into operational detail and solve problems under guidance.​

affect, or risk affecting the customer experience and contribute to customer-focused outcomes through feedback.​

Risk Management: I follow recovery and escalation processes. I learn SLAs, understand operational risks, and document
them transparently. I support routine reliability checks.​

Leadership: I take ownership of my own work by delivering reliably, asking for help when needed. I learn from others, and
contribute to a positive team environment by listening, collaborating, and supporting shared goals.​​

Analytical: I use data and guidance to understand my tasks, ask questions to explore problems, and learn how to test
assumptions. I improve solutions through observation, measurement, and feedback.​

Adaptability: I learn from changes in direction or feedback by adjusting my approach and reflecting on how to improve next
time.​ I take responsibility for building the foundation of my craft, not just learning by doing tasks.​

Communication: I share updates clearly with my team and ask questions to understand others. I identify and rectify
miscommunications. I adjust how I communicate based on who I am working with.​​
