The Veterinary Care Coordinator position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic general practice care team where you will enhance client service and patient care. Ideal candidates should possess a minimum of one year of relevant experience in veterinary settings, such as clinics, hospitals, or shelters, and are encouraged to apply if they have experience in human medical fields as well. The role emphasizes collaboration and teamwork, requiring strong customer service skills enabling you to make a significant positive impact on the lives of both patients and their owners daily. A successful Veterinary Care Coordinator must possess strong communication, computer and triaging skills while demonstrating organizational abilities and a commitment to customer relations as well as patient care. Key responsibilities include managing routine, medical and surgical appointments, processing payments, advocating for pet insurance and other payment. Other duties include managing medical records, client education, maintaining hospital presence both within and outside of the building.

Applicant Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Dedicated excellence in client service
  • Have knowledge of principles and processes of animal handling/patient care and knowledge of common veterinary drugs
  • Focus on operational and organizational excellence.
  • Demonstrates patience and empathy, strengths needed for this position.
  • Possess high level computer skills and understanding of word-based software

Job Type: Full-time, permanent or long-term position. This is not a temporary position.

Pay: negotiable based on experience
