Course: Security Driven Systems Administration

This course covers the design, management, and maintenance of virtual enterprise and datacenter infrastructure. Students learn to use appropriate tools such as request tracking, monitoring, configuration management, virtualization, and scripting to administer and defend systems using documented, repeatable processes. Emphasis will be placed on volume management, directory services, and network-based authentication and file systems. Students develop automatic procedures for installations and file distribution. 

What You Will Do:

• Facilitate classroom lecture and discussions
• Engage students in learning course objectives and topics
• Assess student performance and mentor success in the classroom
• Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission of Grand Canyon University

What You Will Bring:

• Preferred: Master's in Information Technology or related field. All instructors must have 5+ years' experience managing enterprise domains using Microsoft Active Directory or Samba (in physical and virtual environments) AND data center, end-user management, disaster recovery, incident response, and enterprise-wide security policies and procedures.
• Minimum: Bachelor's or higher in Information Technology or related field with 7+ years of experience in the skills listed above.
