POSITION SUMMARY:

The Winter Park Resort Events department is looking for highly motivated, energetic, and passionate individuals that are looking to assist in the production of live events.  This position will assist in day-of logistics of event operations (i.e. event set-up and tear down, vendor load-in/out coordination, serving alcoholic beverages, staffing activation booths, operating POS systems, event check-in booths, ticket booths, stage management, activation/set build, etc.)  Individuals interested in this position should be willing to work weekends, holidays, and irregular hours. 

Events this position will be supporting are as follows but are not limited to – Brand signature events, festivals, Holiday-themed events, musical performances, movie nights, mascot appearances, and experiential activations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

General Responsibilities

  • Assist the Marketing Events, Manager and Marketing Events, Coordinator with day of execution of event logistics.
  • Move, set up, and tear down event elements.
  • Give direction to vendors that are participating in the event.
  • Hand out promotional materials, giveaways, etc. at events.
  • Assist in any pre-event promotional needs.
  • Assist in mascot appearances, serve as the mascot at special events, festivals, pop-up events, etc. in an enthusiastic, engaging and responsible manner.
  • Understanding of the event and certain elements, ability to communicate to guests these different elements.
  • Knowledge of the Resort base/facilities, ability to answer guests’ questions on where things are.
  • Knowledge of Winter Park Resorts Brand and Vision, able to communicate this through your work.
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends, including holidays.
  • Stand for an extended period of time (3+ hours consecutively).
  • Eligible to work in the United States.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in live events.
  • Understanding of A/V production elements.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School graduate.

WAGE:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of Winter Park Resorts hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Winter Park Resorts total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.

hourly pay range: $20 per hour
