Summary: Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and automation that powers SAP business applications. Work closely with CloudOps teams to automate manual recurring tasks, streamline deployment processes, improve system reliability, and ensure scalability across multiple cloud environments. - Manage high risk / complex projects, define deliverables and provide definitive advice and interpretation of situations in order to deliver quality outcomes - Discover and analyze business requirements and architect scalable, forward-thinking technical solutions for Infrastructure automation - Take ownership of production support by proactively troubleshooting issues, resolving incidents, and driving root cause analysis to prevent recurrence - Design, build, and continuously enhance automation frameworks to bootstrap virtual machines at the operating system level, and configure software installed therein - Conduct thorough code reviews, integration testing, and documentation to uphold the reliability and maintainability of deployments Roles & Responsibilities: - 12+ years of experience as a DevOps Engineer in designing, building, and supporting infrastructure automation with Kubernetes on hyperscalers (AWS or GCP+). - A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear of learning something new. You should be open to learn from others and willing to help mentor and teach - Proficient in DevOps tasks and build strategic partnerships with architects, software engineers, and SREs - Ability to participate in an on-call rotation to support automation implemented by the team - Proficiency with Python and shell scripting - Strong understanding of enterprise automation, and modern software engineering practices and hands-on experience with: - Ansible configuration management tool, including writing custom modules for Ansible - Linux (RHEL, SUSE, etc.) at an administrative level, and willingness to work with Windows - High availability configurations, including autoscaling - Infrastructure Orchestration Tools such as Terraform - Container Orchestration Technologies such as Kubernetes - Integrations with monitoring systems such as Dynatrace or ELK stack - Experience in networking, virtualization, and serverless technologies - Experience with GitOps pipelines for deploying cloud infrastructure with version control - Knowledge of application security concepts like encryption (at rest and in transit) and the use of certificates and secrets within an application. - Solid understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) - Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with product managers, - Enterprise architects, and technical leads - Excellent communication in English. Professional & Technical Skills: - Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Cloud Automation DevOps. - Good To Have Skills: Experience with Python (Programming Language), Linux, Infrastructure As Code (IaC). - Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and services. - Experience with automation tools and frameworks. - Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 7.5 years of experience in Cloud Automation DevOps. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
