As a Software Engineer at CVS Health, you'll play a crucial role in building and delivering high-quality software that enhances customer experiences. You'll be involved in all phases of software engineering, from requirements analysis to deployment, while adhering to agile software development methodologies. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business.

What you will do:

  • Software Development:  Utilize advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code quality.
  • Troubleshooting:  Apply technical expertise to troubleshoot issues, and drive the resolution of technical challenges.
  • Problem Solving:  Identify and solve complex technical problems that arise during the development process.
  • Technical Insights and Recommendations:  Deliver technical insights and recommendations to drive informed decision-making, ensuring that technical solutions align with business goals.
  • Technology Evaluation:  Research and evaluate emerging technologies, tools, and frameworks to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in the digital health space.
  • Technology Selection and Integration:  Provide recommendations on technology selection and integration, considering factors such as performance, scalability, security, accessibility, and maintainability.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience with designing and building software engineering solutions in cloud environments(preferably Google Cloud Platform)
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more programming languages, such as Python, Node.js, and Java
  • 1+ years of experience in API development (REST APIs, WebSockets, or GraphQL APIs)
  • 1+ years of experience in one or more front-end frameworks, such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • 1+ Experience with JSON or XML, Understanding of data structures and algorithms

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in large scale applications, with large scale dataset & transaction volume
  • Demonstrated experience with building and driving adoption of software engineering best practices
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, cloud computing, and microservices architectures
  • Experience with Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipeline, and other DevOps principles/best practices
  • Familiarity with different phases of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Experience in Agile Development
  • Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) using Docker orKubernetes
  • Database knowledge – SQL, NoSQL, table structure, data relationships
  • Familiarity with leveraging AI co-pilots in support of SDLC
  • Knowledge of security best practices for web development (e.g., OAuth, SSL, data encryption)
  • Proficient in APIs, microservices, and modern software patterns. Knowledge of RESTful services,
  • Previous healthcare experience and domain knowledge
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills within and across teams

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Data Analytics, Machine Learning, or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$72,100.00 - $144,200.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
