We’re looking for a hybrid Color + Material Designer in Speed / NBY Footwear to combine their experience, problem solving abilities, and creativity to help build the future of NIKE Footwear design. The ideal candidate needs to be a self starter, a highly creative problem solver, able to move quickly in a complex, dynamic, collaborative environment with interest to learn and expertise in color and material solutions. You are eager to challenge the status quo, travel for consumer insights and product creation, embrace the unknown, and push boundaries in order to create industry-leading solutions that meet the needs of each athlete*. You are passionate about excellence and ensuring the emotional connection of our product for the consumer through the use of customization, new innovative solutions, narrative and storytelling!
If this is you, you will be working on a range of technical and complex projects using the latest techniques to design close to market consumer-focused concepts and deliver at lightening speed. You will also have the opportunity to create the future of new creation across style and sport to curate, elevate and modernize Nike product for both the lifestyle and performance consumer. Your work will range from hyper close to market trend and market research, narrative building, consumer customization, insights gathering, concepting and ideation, all the way through to color and material tech pack creation.
In the process, you will communicate with a wide range of experts across NIKE, from Design teammates, manufacturing partners, to operations, merchandising, and factory partners; the daily responsibilities of this role are wide ranging, challenging, and an opportunity for continued learning and growth in all aspects of Footwear design! This position does not have any direct reports and will report into the Senior Manager for Speed.
**You must submit a portfolio that shows color/materials design work to be considered for this role.
