Introduction: We are looking for a Sr Cloud Architect specializing in CI/CD pipelines, who will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions that facilitate streamlined software development and deployment processes. This role demands expertise in pipeline strategies, as well as the ability to ensure robust, scalable, observable, and secure cloud architectures. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Design and provide oversight of cloud architecture tailored for CI/CD pipelines, ensuring high availability, scalability, security, and performance. 
  • Provide standards, architecture, and implementation guidance for multi-cloud, and on-prem, deployments. 
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to refine and optimize build and deployment workflows. 
  • Evaluate and recommend cloud services and tools suitable for CI/CD processes, including containerization, orchestration, and monitoring solutions. 
  • Partner with CloudSec to ensure security compliance; and incorporate best practices for vulnerability remediation, data protection, and access management within multiple cloud environments. 
  • Provide expert level troubleshooting for high impact major incidents related to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and application deployments. 
  • Provide architectural diagrams and design documents for current tech stack deployments. 
  • Present team cloud strategy and future cloud related technical roadmap to executive stakeholders, as needed. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; 5-10 years equivalent work experience may be considered. 
  • Proven experience in cloud architecture design and implementation, preferably with major cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. 
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Ansible, Github Actions, Argo CD, Flux CD, or equivalent. 
  • Expert in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. 
  • Solid programming and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, or PowerShell). 
  • Expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams. 

Preferred Skills and Attributes:

  • Certifications in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure Architect, Google Cloud Professional Architect). 
  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. 
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices. 
  • Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
