1) Develop, implement, and monitor the HSSE programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory standards and industry best practices.
2) Establish and enforce safety protocols across the organization to minimize risks related to ground handling operations, including ramp, baggage, aircraft servicing, and cargo handling.
3) Ensure all operations comply with national and international aviation regulations, including ICAO, IATA, OSHA, local regulatory authorities and airline policies and procedures.
4) Coordinate with the relevant regulatory bodies, airport authorities, and industry partners to stay informed of updates in HSSE regulations and standards.
5) Manage the Safety Management System, including incident reporting, investigation, analysis, and corrective actions.
6) Lead root cause analyses for incidents and near-misses and ensure that corrective and preventive actions are tracked and completed in a timely manner.
7) Implement a system for tracking, analyzing, and reporting safety data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
8) Develop and deliver training programs for employees on HSSE policies, safe work practices, emergency procedures, and regulatory compliance.
9) Ensure that staff qualifications and certifications for handling hazardous materials, equipment operation, and safety protocols are maintained.
10) Develop and maintain emergency response plans, ensuring preparedness for incidents such as spills, fires, security threats, and natural disasters.
11) Monitor and manage the organization’s environmental impact, promoting initiatives to reduce waste, manage hazardous materials, and adhere to environmental regulations.
12) Oversee the development and implementation of security protocols, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements for aviation security.
13) Lead HSSE audits and inspections to identify gaps, develop corrective action plans, and drive improvements across the organization.
