You are: 
 
As a Facilities Supervisor you will manage a security program which complies with the contract requirements of Presorts customers by managing the maintenance of the building, grounds and plant facilities. You will help our clients earn the best possible discounts on First-Class® and Standard® postage.  Your career with Pitney Bowes will help you be an integral part of the operation that will support not only your career development but our business’ continued growth.   
 
You will: 

  • Develop and implement security processes and procedures as required by Presorts contractual obligations. Remain abreast of any changes and communicate those changes to security staff and relevant management 

  • Evaluate established security guidelines and adjust as required 

  • Manage the Security Department's activities including supervision, training and scheduling of staff 

  • Ensure security staff is properly trained in security processes and procedures 

  • Ensure security-related information is shared on a strictly need to know basis 

  • Investigate security irregularities within the jurisdiction of the department. Ensure management and Human Resources are involved and informed as appropriate. Ensure proper and timely reporting and documentation. 

  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement 

  • Maintain knowledge of facility-related OSHA regulations and ensures compliance. Contracts with and supervises facility-related outside contractors 

  • Manage the cleaning and maintenance of the facility 

  • Additional duties as required 

 

Your background: 
 
As a Facilities Supervisor, you have: 
 

  • Ability to work assigned schedule, but will require on-call 24/7 and some weekend work 

  • Minimum of two-year supervisory experience in any one of the following areas where familiarity of USPS requirements and/or regulations are applied (presort, mailroom or associated industries) preferred 

  • Minimum of two years of progressively responsible experience in a production or warehouse environment 

  • Comprehensive knowledge of security systems and investigative techniques 

  • Maintenance trade skills 

  • Knowledge of facility-related OSHA regulations 

  • Computer skills at the intermediate level in Microsoft Word and Excel 

  • Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written 

  • Ability to speak and understand English at a proficient level 

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality 

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without accommodations 

  • Ability to walk, stand, stoop, and bend 80% of the time with or without accommodations 

  • Based on operational needs must be willing and able to work as needed, including weekends, holidays, days off and/or a different shift with limited or no advance notice
