Job Description
The Surgery Scheduling Supervisor is responsible for coordinating day-to-day logistics of the surgery scheduling team and overseeing the utilization of department assigned operating room blocks. Responsible for assigning workloads and managing staff. Develops strategic initiates to address OR utilization gaps. In addition to team and overall OR block oversight, this position will also schedule surgeries, communicate with patients, and communicate with physicians for a subset of surgeons in the department.
Additional Job Description
Graduated from an accredited school of nursing. Current licensure by the South Carolina State Board of
Nursing. BSN preferred. Minimum of three years of medical practice/clinical management experience. Other experience may be substituted in lieu of practice/clinical management. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification is required
