This role will be responsible for leading The Home Depot business from both a digital and strategic growth perspective.

Digital Sales responsibility for The Home Depot Account includes Planning, Execution and Sales on Homedepot.com, which accounts for more than 30% of overall revenue for the account. Digital Sales will be managed in coordination with The Home Depot Online team as well as many key Samsung cross-functional teams.

Strategic Growth responsibility for The Home Depot Account includes responsibility for any new growth categories or growth areas across online or in-store. This can include, but not be limited to, additional Appliance Categories, Service related business or other new and different business processes as required. In addition, this role will have responsibility for overall strategy and analytics for the account as it relates to market dynamics and planning for future business and leadership discussions.

Digital Sales:

  • Serve as digital leader for Samsung’s Digital Appliance Business with The Home Depot
  • Support Digital Joint Business Plans, Workshops, and Quarterly Business Reviews as required by customer & leadership
  • Responsible for online revenue for all Samsung appliances at homedepot.com
  • Develop short & long-term sales strategies for Samsung online business
  • Engage with cross functional internal teams including Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Channel Marketing, Operations, & more to develop strategic digital initiatives to grow the Home Appliance categories
  • Own and lead digital business performance report outs to customer & Samsung internal. (KPIs include Units, Sales, Conversion, Traffic, Click through Rate, and more)
  • Accountable for digital product assortment, digital campaign effectiveness, aligning digital investments to achieve .com financial goals and executing all digital business activities
  • Responsible for ensuring digital assets and item set up is complete and Samsung is not disadvantaged at The Home Depot vs. other retailer online execution.

Strategic Growth:

  • Responsible for revenue generation for the total business of growth categories not covered by other Sales Managers at The Home Depot
  • Partner with Product Marketing and Demand Generation to drive expansion and growth, including managing flooring and sell-thru for growth categories
  • Responsible for forecast & planning of growth categories internally and externally
  • Analyze current market conditions, ways of working performance, and seasonal trends to provide guidance on performance and profitability
  • Develop tracking and databases to provide information needed for decision making
  • Review sales promotion investment, lead analysis, and reporting for the account team
  • Perform rigorous analysis on historical promotional spend (sales, marketing, merchandizing), pricing, competitive actions, and The Home Depot overall Appliance performance to assist with future activities
  • Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual budget planning and forecasting process

Skills and Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree (preferred but not required)
  • A minimum of 8+ years of relevant job fit experience, preferably in digital or omnichannel sales
  • Demonstrated digital or .com expertise in sales, product marketing, & strategy – including industry tools and KPIs (conversion, click-thru, attach, AOV, etc.)
  • Understanding of best-in-class strategies to deliver exceptional digital platform experience
  • Sales background in dealing with large national retailers; electronics category preferred
  • Proven ability to own and develop a customer relationship and account management process, preferably with The Home Depot account
  • Experience in developing sales, financial and/or operational analysis and presentation to management – including identification of risk
  • Advanced skill level using Microsoft Standard Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Up to 25% travel (domestic or international) required
