About the role:

We are looking for a full-time permanent Engineering Manager TLO to join our Engineering team in Heatherbrae NSW. Reporting to Director of Engineering - APAC, you will lead and manage all design and engineering resources associated with the delivery of TLO (ETO) Projects, Refurbishment projects and the provision of engineering services to the APAC organization.

Specifically, you will manage a team to:

  • Ensure the effective and efficient execution of all ETO projects
  • Ensure appropriate engineering governances is in place for engineering services provided by the department throughout the product lifecycle
  • Ensures that the internal stakeholders’ requirements are met as per the agreed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and ensure the successful delivery of projects and their deliverables
  • Ensure an appropriate tender and estimation process is in place within the department and validate its effectiveness through monitoring of appropriate KPI’s
  • Promptly attend to sales team queries, providing advice, and support on technical matters as required

To be successful in the above duties, you will have:

  • Relevant Engineers Australia recognized engineering degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
  • Registered on the NER, or able to attain registration within 3 months of commencement in the role
  • Design and engineering experience in minerals processing and bulk materials handling equipment
  • Proven ability to lead culturally diverse, technical teams, including performance management, coaching and training to meet business objectives
  • Proven ability to understand, interpret and meet complex customer needs by reviewing tender documents including the technical specs and commercial aspects of the deliverables.
  • Well developed verbal and written communication (report writing, business plans, presentations, influencing, and conflict resolution, driving change).
  • Good financial and commercial acumen – contract terms, project and cost center budgets in regards to managing and controlling
  • Sufficient working knowledge of an ERP system (preferably SAP)
