Team/Role Overview

This key role on the Data Modelling Team within Citi’s Master & Reference Strategy Group will have responsibility for the analysis, design, and implementation of enterprise data modelling requirements for one or more Master & Reference Data Domain Models (e.g., Party, Account, Agreement).

The Data Modelling Team is a truly enterprise team, collaborating across multiple functions and Citi locations to define the Citi Standard for Enterprise Master and Reference data and driving change and enterprise adoption on transformational data governance projects across Citi.

What you’ll do

Data Modeller for Enterprise Master and Reference Data will participate in activities in all stages of the model development lifecycle from requirements definition, data model development and adoption of enterprise model for Master and Reference Data across Citi including:

  • Facilitating data requirements gathering and model design meetings with business and technical stakeholders and resolve conflict to drive decision and approval for enterprise data domain models.
  • Supporting the definition and execution Model Driven Development standards and processes across all enterprise Master & Reference Data Domains
  • Supporting partners in the business to drive toward 100% alignment with common standards and master data foundations across the enterprise.
  • Developing strong working partnerships and strategic relationships with key partners including data modelling teams and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across operations and technology to align implementation with measurable business value.
  • Collaborating with Citi Master & Reference Data Architecture Teams to define current and future state requirements for Enterprise Model on Enterprise Tooling  

What we’ll need from you

  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working in a data modelling team/function
  • Experience data modelling of conceptual and logical data models using a recognized modelling tools such as Erwin, MagicDraw, ERStudio or similar.
  • Strong communicator with good grasp of logical thinking and ability to work well with the stakeholders to articulate business requirements from complex data structures and drive approval and adoption of enterprise models across Citi.
  • Demonstrated subject area expertise in one or more Master/Reference Data Domains preferred within banking and/or financial services sector.
  • Demonstrated track record of model driven development execution in Financial Services environment.
  • Experience of working with data governance platforms and with meta model management
  • Other related skills include demonstrated experience in data analysis, enterprise data warehousing, working with industry models within the banking domain.
  • Experience with Unified Modeling Language (UML) is preferred
  • Experience of Industry Models (e.g. IBM IFW or similar desirable)
