OVERVIEW:

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Measurement of Store Processes

  • Design, create, and maintain a catalog of all labor standards in stores including ongoing measurement methods, store attribute, and criteria

  • Build and measure time and motion studies for discrete store processes and activities focused on the impact to store labor, payroll, and customer experience

  • Provide feedback to leadership on the priority, timing, and methods to measure all DSG store activities by creating an annual review calendar and plan of execution

  • Assist with the creation of process documentation to align with best practices, taking a data-centric approach to how best to complete all processes within stores

Continuous Improvement

  • Through methods such as A/B testing, process evaluation, and modeling, provide feedback to improve store productivity for both operational and customer-focused processes

  • Ensure that new technology and ways of working improve our store procedures, taking both anecdotal feedback and time and motion studies into consideration

  • Develop and monitor operational metrics that track the impact of continuous improvement projects

Leadership and Collaboration

  • Provide coaching, mentorship and direction to the Store Industrial Engineer team

  • Create an environment of positive engagement and support through effective leadership

  • Support process teams in documenting work methods and execution of engineered labor standards

  • Drive alignment of labor standards with both process owners and the labor management team

  • Partner with technology and external software providers on enhancements that impact our store procedures

  • Partner with the Business Intelligence team to develop and validate new reporting or KPI’s as it relates to labor standards management

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree Industrial Engineering preferred

  • 5-7 years experience

  • Experience in Engineered Labor Standards, Labor Management, SOP Documentation, Process and Continuous Improvement

  • Maynard Operation Sequence Technique (MOST)

  • Possess and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures within a retail store

  • Documentation of Standard Operating Procedures within a retail environment

  • Project Management – Program changes, updates, process improvements

  • This role requires significant travel with up to 50% of time spent traveling to stores throughout the US.
