Job Summary:

The Senior HR Consultant Business HR plays a strategic role in the direction of the people management function in the business unit through the undertaking of appropriate diagnostic measures. In this strategic role, the Senior HR Consultant facilitates effective implementation of new people management initiatives in different departments and levels of the business unit as appropriate.

Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

General Consulting Consults with the businesss leadership and management in order to foster and promote the engagement of the businesss core values at all levels. Coaches the businesss departmental heads and management in performance management succession, change management, employee experience and culture initiatives. Establishes and maintains proactive relationships with Management Staff and department heads. Proactively analyze the root causes of issues (before they become major or spread). Build open and strong relationships with line management, performing on-going assessment plus organization diagnosis; and implement strategies, tactics appropriate to OD interventions to address and measure the effectiveness of HR work. Through careful analysis of trends, treat problems (not symptoms) and resolve issues before they negatively impact business operations (i.e., recruitment, staffing, vacancy, retention, turnover, employee engagement, conflict resolution, labor cost escalation and productivity goals) and in order to improve and positively impact WellStars performance.

Functions as liaison between operating unit and HR leader regarding HR issues, conflict resolution, and implementation strategies. Acts as a liaison to HR Service Center, COE and ER, to ensure service to external and internal clients and appropriate feedbacks at all levels. Works with leadership to facilitate goal achievement. Serves as a check and balance for all HR related projects and priorities in relation to departments. Directs the way communications are delivered to departments. Participates in workforce development and planning activities Participates in multi-disciplinary teams to improve performance as indicated Interacts in professional and positive manner with all levels of health care providers including physicians. Creates atmosphere of accessibility and availability as subject matter expert on HR issues including: legal, risk management, and other disciplines as appropriate in HR matters that impact organizational risk Promote integrated system focus (we/we = win/win), while balancing operating unit needs. Organizational Development/Culture/Trust Engagement Execute programs, policies and procedures created by the COEs at the local site level, including areas such as performance management, onboarding, training and development and succession planning. Develops and implements a plan for improvement of trust behaviors as measured by the Great Place to Work Trust Index.

Partners with the operating units leadership, to create and sustain a culture that supports WellStars Strategic Plan (i.e., its mission, values alignment and organizational effectiveness) and by building and sustaining performance management rigor (i.e. assuring that the right people are hired, trained, developed, supported for career and performance growth) Performs all duties and responsibilities of this position in a manner that reflects the values of WellStarWorks with other business HR team members to develop resolution and training plans for operating units. Regulatory Compliance Ensures compliance with EEO, OSHA, Immigration Laws, FLSA, Joint Commission and other regulatory bodies Interprets policies and procedures, EEO, and fair employment practices.

Required Minimum Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or Related field Required

Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 7 years strong human resource experience in all functional areas of Human Resource. (Preferably in a healthcare setting) Required

Required Minimum Skills:

Must have exceptional organizational, critical thinking, and strategic mindset.
Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and maintain excellent customer service.
Must be familiar with employment law, talent planning, performance review programs, and organizational development and learning.
Must be able to handle matters in discrete and confidential manner.
Must be able to maintain quality documentation of all consulting procedures.
