Senior Software Development Engineer in Test – Golden, CO

Allegion is looking for a passionate Senior Software Development Engineer in Test to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management.  You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.

What you’ll do:

  • Create a range of E2E automated testing frameworks that will ultimately reduce defects, improve quality, and enable the delivery of high-quality software faster.
  • Build automated tests to validate our IOT devices with Mobile Apps, Mobile SDKs, Web Applications and APIs.
  • Maintain and operate test automation pipelines in CircleCI or Azure DevOps.
  • Working with other IoT teams across the Agile Release Train to ensure the E2E quality of the platform.
  • Create performance test scripts using K6 and support E2E Performance testing for the IoT platform.
  • Troubleshoot Performance issues and identify the bottlenecks.
  • Work in an “Agile + DevOps” process management methodology and collaborating with Product Owners and Development Leads.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent in relevant years of work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing and test automation.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in performance testing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Are passionate about testing software and are constantly striving to make software testing more consistent, efficient and reliable. 
  • Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Circle CI or Azure DevOps pipelines etc. 
  • Experience with version control systems like Git. 
  • Experience writing automated tests with strictly typed development languages such as C#, Typescript, etc.
  • Experience in testing and automating RESTful or GraphQL APIs.
  • Proficient in performance testing REST or GraphQL APIs using JMeter, Artillery or other load testing tools.
  • Capable of analyzing performance test results, organizing and presenting them to leadership and pinpointing areas for improvement.
  • Experience in testing Event Driven systems preferred
  • Experience in Internet of Things (IoT) industry preferred

Compensation: This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

  • The expected Base Salary Range: 99,000 - $174,900. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
  • Bonus Eligible: Yes
