The Junior Security Engineer will detect, contain, remediate, and prevent security incidents affecting the corporate IT Infrastructure, Applications, Data, and Users.

This is a key role as it is the central point of detection and coordination for major security incidents, adhering to the Incident Management processes. 
 

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in security assessments, audits, and vulnerability scans, contributing to reports and findings.

• Monitor security events and incidents, escalating as needed and assisting with containment

• Support the implementation of security policies and standards

• Collaborate with the security team to document and improve security processes

• Contribute to incident response activities and assist with investigations.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years’ working experience in a Cyber Security role

• Must be an Australian citizen eligible to obtain security clearance

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Service oriented individual with excellent communication skills

• Proficiencies in information security and risk assessment
