About the Program

Old Mission Ignition is an unpaid 2-day educational discovery series at our Chicago office for women interested in exploring careers at the intersection of technology and trading. This immersive experience will give you hands-on exposure to our quantitative trading environment and low-latency systems development.

Dates: April 9 – 10, 2026
Location: Chicago, IL

Over two days, you'll tour our trading floor, meet our developers and traders, participate in technical workshops, and gain insight into what it's like to build high-performance systems that power financial markets. This is a unique opportunity to explore whether a career in quantitative trading technology is right for you—no prior trading knowledge required.

Who Should Apply

This discovery series is designed for women who are:

  • Current 2027 or 2028 college graduates (graduating May/June 2027 or 2028)
  • Pursuing an undergraduate or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related quantitative fields
  • Interested in quantitative trading, algorithmic trading, or financial technology
  • Passionate about low-latency systems, high-performance computing, or systems programming
  • Curious about applying technical skills to solve real-world problems in fast-paced environments

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Coursework or project experience with programming languages such as C++ and Python
  • Understanding of data structures and algorithms
  • Familiarity with systems programming concepts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt quickly in dynamic environments
