Team Overview:

The Reinsurance Claims department of Everest Advisors (UK), Ltd. is looking for a highly motivated Reinsurance Claims Adjuster to join our fantastic London team as we continue to expand. This individual will ideally support Casualty and Financial Lines, W&I and/or D&O, but Motor experience would also be beneficial. The appointment will reinforce our commitment to providing clients and distribution partners with best-in-class claims solutions. This position will be based in our London office with a hybrid schedule that has the option of working two days remotely each week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Adjusting reinsurance claims across a diverse multi‑class portfolio, providing clear information and ensuring accurate reserving.

  • Attending meetings and presentations on high‑value or complex losses, working alongside experienced colleagues.

  • Taking part in client visits and audits, developing analytical skills and market insight.

  • Collaborating closely with Underwriting and other teams to understand how Claims contributes to broader business decisions.

  • Supporting data visualisation, reporting, and other project work that helps shape the claims function.

  • Contributing to market studies, due diligence, and cross‑functional initiatives.

  • Playing an active role in the continued development of the claims function as we grow.

What You Bring:

  • Experience gained in either Reinsurance or Insurance claims, ideally within Casualty, Financial Lines, W&I, D&O, and/or Motor.

  • London market experience.

  • Understanding of general insurance principles.

  • Capable of working independently as part of a broader integrated claims team.

  • Strong numerical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Engagement in continuous personal and professional development activities including but not limited to undertaking relevant exams (ACII)

  • Adept in the use of Microsoft products, Excel in particular
