Designs, develops, maintains, tests, debugs, optimizes, secures, and/or evaluates OS Kernel and system software, including device drivers, virtualization, hypervisor, and/or other software technologies both open source and proprietary. Utilizes knowledge in software architecture, design, debug, development, operating system internals, and silicon on platform features.
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 6+ years of experience OR
Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field with 4+ years of experience
Experience should be in software and Linux kernel development includes the following:
Strong Linux kernel development experience, particularly in x86 architectures.
Expertise in Linux device drivers, board bring-up, and early boot processes.
Familiarity with Linux kernel internals, ACPI, power management, and protocols like PCIe, MIPI, HDMI, USB, I2C, WIFI and Bluetooth.
Proficiency in Git, upstream kernel patches, and Linux kernel configuration.
Experience with backporting patches, kernel security updates, and maintaining stable branches.
Strong knowledge of power/performance tuning, memory management, and debugging tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
Upstream contributions in Linux kernel subsystems.
Experience with Intel-specific features such as VT-x, VT-d, and power management.
Experience debugging graphics/multimedia drivers and firmware issues.
Familiarity with Android, Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS, and other Linux distributions.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US:
$169,820.00-$239,750.00Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience.
