Have you been responsible for all general financial aspects that impact joint venture arrangements and external regulatory reporting for both joint venture and consolidated assets? Then look no further as we have the perfect opportunity for you.

What you will do:

  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements support schedules to be provided to internal management and partners
  • Prepare, review, and approve monthly journal entries including joint venture billings
  • Prepare and review monthly actual balance sheets and income statements variance analysis
  • Perform research and analysis for ad hoc questions or requests from partners
  • Prepare and review account reconciliations and monthly actual variance analysis
  • Prepare, review and coordinate cash calls and cash distributions with partners
  • Extract and analyze data from ERP system to facilitate monthly cost allocation process
  • Create legal entity level cost allocation analysis and review through Excel for Management
  • Perform ad hoc cost allocation research as requested by internal and external collaborators
  • Prepare and review Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) Form 2 and Form 3-Q
  • Prepare and review annual Texas Rail Road Commission (RRC) Filings
  • Prepare FERC/RRC  rate case related schedules and support documentation
  • Coordinate and interact with internal and external auditors on quarterly and year-end audits
  • Ensure compliance with SOX controls and related reporting requirements
  • Interact with internal and external partners
  • Provide guidance to analysts and advisors as needed
  • Special projects as required

Who you are:

You have:

  • 6+ years of related experience along with bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • A broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems

You can:

  • Manage and organize large volumes of data while also being able to independently research, investigate, analyze, reconcile and evaluate all financial data and make sound decisions
  • Work independently on complex technical issues and take a lead role on adhoc projects as the need arises

You are:

  • An excellent written and verbal communicator with excellent organizational, planning and analytical skills
  • Proficient with Oracle Cloud and HFM in addition to being an intermediate to advanced user of Excel

The following are considered assets:

  • CPA designation

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
