The APLA Supply & Inventory Planning Team’s mission is to optimize our Supply and Demand match while ensuring our key inventory targets are met. It has interaction across various stakeholders in the APLA organization and Nike’s Global Supply & Inventory Planning teams. Our team also has governance over Finished Goods Purchasing processes and recovery action plans to solve for buy and late delivery issues.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a Asia Pacific/Latin America (APLA) Supply & Inventory Planning Analyst, who will support assigned business (Territory/Country/Division).

This role will support and participate in the planning execution, serving as the planning team’s primary point of contact for all inventory planning & purchasing needs. This candidate will ensure that all products are planned, bought, evaluate risks and opportunities, escalate issues, and communicate all relevant information within Supply & Inventory Planning and Geo/Terr x-functional teams to drive positive business results. This role partners cross functionally, representing IP, and explaining key metrics and actions.

The candidate needs to have proven track record of information seeking, analytical skills, resolving complex business issues and making sound decisions as well as the ability to communicate complex and/or business critical topics and concepts to a wide and diverse audience.  This person will need to successfully collaborate with cross-functional team members on a regular basis and proactively address, resolve, and/or escalate any operational issues affecting the on-time purchasing of product.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

  • A typical day/week revolves around facilitating twice monthly delivery planning process and ensure that all materials are planned & purchased on the appropriate timelines under Demand Supply Management (DSM) function.
  • You will be responsible for executing and managing supply commitments through creation of purchase orders (POs) for procurement of Nike’s finished goods and the management of buy exceptions. You will maintain any changes to POs, including product movement from factory to distribution center. You will review POs for conformance to company policy and may address issues related to delivery.
  • You’ll be conducting analysis to proactively identify challenges, at the same time be able to tell a story, driving clarity for your key stakeholders thru key business metirc (PIFOT-Planned in Full On Time, Coverage, and Unplanned).  At times, you will be asked to represent our team on projects and support key initiatives that have an impact to our day-to-day business.
  • You will be proactively driving actions to keep a healthy inventory position in the assigned business. You will leverage multiple reports and dashboards to review key metrics, escalating any issues that will cause unfulfilled demand and/or a delay to the expected timelines. You will report and communicate to Territory/Countries and Geo x-functional teams delivery expectations, risks and opportunities. 

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will report into the Supply & Inventory Planning Territory Manager, working closely with Territory DSM/Ops team, and Geography Consumer Supply & Inventory Planning and Inventory Operations team to resolve issues related with the supply. You will also be working closely with x-functional partners across Geo Consumer x Marketplace teams, as well as Global Supply Planning.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Minimum of 1 year of supply/inventory planning, or supply chain experience required
  • Excellent written, spoken and visual communication skills. Specifically, well demonstrated capability converting complex concepts into easy to interpret stories that resonate across a varied audience
  • Flexibility in switching from strategic to tactical and operational levels of thinking and working, specifically in strategy deployment.
  • Superior interpersonal, influencing and facilitation skills with the ability to work both cross-functionally and cross-culturally, specifically fostering productive relationships between key players and immediate team
  • Validated strong analytical skills, finding relevant information within large data sets and create executive story
  • Strong knowledge of Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, macros, etc.)
  • Prior SAP experience preferred
  • High level Tableau & Cognos user preferred
  • Experience with SQL and visualization tools (PowerQuery, PowerPivot, PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc.) desired
  • Must have tolerance for a complex, ever-changing and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to demonstrate good decision making in ambiguous circumstances
  • Participate on projects, including system releases, as assigned
  • Strong collaboration/teamwork skills to work with multiple stakeholders
