Caterpillar's Energy & Transportation (E&T) segment supports customers in oil and gas, power generation, marine, rail, and industrial applications. We offer a range of products and services, including but not limited to, reciprocating engines, generator sets, gas turbines and turbine services, remanufacturing of Caterpillar engines and components, diesel-electric locomotives, and other rail-related products and services.

E&T seeks a Risk & Compliance Manager to apply Caterpillar’s Enterprise Compliance Program processes and tools across segment finance, order management, pricing and procurement support organizations; provide tactical program management and support for common segment compliance processes; lead ad hoc cross-division process development and improvement projects; and develop data analytics solutions to support risk mitigation.

What You Will Do:

  • Design and implement daily procedures and review/assess activities against internal control standards.
  • Direct and participate in the risk and compliance education of the organization, ensuring ongoing and follow up education including regulations, policies, procedures, and trends.
  • Develop, initiate, and revise policies and procedures for the general operation of the segment's compliance program and its related activities.
  • Identify potential risk and compliance vulnerabilities; develop corresponding corrective action plans for resolution of these issues and providing guidance for use in future situations.
  • Coordinate and as requested, lead segment-wide compliance process improvement projects according to priority and completion objectives using basic program management techniques.

What You Have:

  • Risk Management: Knowledge of processes, tools and techniques for assessing and controlling an organization's exposure to risks of various kinds; ability to apply knowledge of risk management appropriately to diverse situations.
  • Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
  • Planning and Organizing: Knowledge of the process of planning and arranging tasks and resources; ability to plan and organize both time and resources to get things completed while structuring and maintaining work in a systematic and highly methodical way.
  • Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
  • Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
  • Internal Controls: Knowledge of concept, methods, and processes of internal control; ability to create, implement, evaluate and enhance processes in internal controls.

Top Candidates Will Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an Accounting or Finance related discipline
  • Progressive Risk and or Compliance related experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of Data Analytic tools such as PowerBI, Power Automate, etc.

Additional Info:

  • The location for this position is in Peoria IL or Irving TX.
  • This role is a full time, Hybrid position and currently requires 3 days a week in office
  • Domestic relocation assistance is available for those who qualify

  • International and Domestic travel up to 20%
