EDUCATION • Degree or equivalent work experience equally preferable. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline CERTIFICATIONS • [Include information as needed.] WORK EXPERIENCE • Software architecture experience • Experience in large-scale application, system, platform, and/or integration architectures • Experience in application development and client-facing solution development • Management of technology change in complex technology environments • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and databases • Experience building complex modern distributed applications on cloud platforms • Software design and architecture experience • Strong knowledge of Agile and DevOps cultures, including tangible experience in CI/CD tool chains • Experience in transitioning legacy systems to cloud architecture • Advanced understanding of algorithms, data structures, and ability to understand and effectively debug both new and existing solutions • Experience using architecture guardrails for development teams FUNCTIONAL SKILLS • Experience utilizing a variety of specific tools and toolkits for the development and support of applications • Experience with major public cloud offerings and how to design solutions that are built around these technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and similar) • Knowledge of the technologies used to enable excellent IT service for business clients; ability to develop, implement and support a variety of such technologies FOUNDATIONAL SKILLS • Communicates effectively • Identifies multiple paths to success using analytical and critical thinking as well as decision-making skills • Exercises sound judgement, prioritizes effectively, and strives for continuous improvement • Effectively collaborates with colleagues • Leverages available technology to drive efficiency and results • Understands and applies industry trends and best practices • Exhibits optimism, resilience, flexibility, and openness to others' ideas • Values learning as a lifelong professional objective • Engages inclusively and with intent • Always acts with integrity • Iterative problem-solving • Serving as a trusted advisor • Knowledge of major product and service trends • Motivation to develop and apply new skills • Ability to work in fast-paced environmentnment RESPONSIBILITIES • Define functional designs and application systems architecture across technologies and platforms • Design application infrastructure - including specific databases, programming languages and testing approaches • Develop detailed programming instructions to solve business problems through automation support • Ability to communicate architecture patterns across development teams
