THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Senior Manager, Agency Business Development who is responsible for:
- Propose a long-term strategic plan to build and implement the General Agency channel within Agency Distribution. The goal is to achieve defined target objectives related to target customer segmentation in assigned regions, product propositions, business models, and a quality salesforce that loves a healthy lifestyle in the Vietnam market.
- Ensure profit, cost, and operational efficiency contribute to overall business results through the GA business model, digital transformation, market penetration, and business growth in alignment with company direction.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

Strategic planning:

  • Set the long-term plan for a successful Agency Distribution with sustainable growth and profitability that become the one of marked sales contribution of the overall business result.

  • Build and cascade to AIA sales staffs (RH & AD) to implement with GAD the strategic plan including customer segmentation, product proposition, recruitment, development and servicing workstreams for all GA channels.


Implementation Plan and Performance Tracking:

  • Set clear the direct to focus on areas which are sources of growth for GA business model sustainability and the effectiveness to GA business model in each of stage.

  • Leverage & set clear expectations, provide collaborative challenger with enable functions to call the right resources to implementing plan & initiatives.

  • Build a high-performance team and achieve business objectives through providing leadership, methodology, strategy, leading new way of working and leverage technology – digitalization – analytics (TDA).

  • Build and drive succession planning for GA channel by leading the management team to review, identify, train and develop potential successors in various levels.

  • Lead successfully the transformation as a part of the company strategy by strategically designing, selecting, developing and retaining talented and key resources to ensure an effective model and succession planning supporting business growth.

  • Develop the compliance and best practice culture to fulfill the agency legal and compliance requirement and build up the professionalism of the agent

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Education – bachelor’s degree with relevant business degree qualification. MBA is a plus.

  • A strong financial background, including the ability to understand complex financial structures and transactions within the context of agency forces, entrepreneurs (e.g. GA business)

  • Experience – Minimum 5 years and above of general management experience and a proven successful track record of channel leadership in a high growth business environment.

  • A strong, savvy relationship manager with deep experience in the financial services / life insurance in Viet Nam, as well as strong network of relevant contacts amongst the life insurance community

  • Certifications/licenses – LOMA 280, 290 is required

  • Ability to engage and inspire partners (ALs, GADs, MDRTs) to develop and nourish a long-term partnership with the company

  • Fluent (spoken and written) in English & Vietnamese

  • Agility mindset and skills to shift the team to new way of working and behavior

  • TDA (Technology – Digitalization – Analytics) mindset and skill to enhance and accelerate the operational efficiency and new sales method
