The Data and Analytics Department is looking for someone to join a team that supports, collects and uses data for the P&C Insurance sector at Desjardins Group. As a data engineering advisor, you’re responsible for designing a data flow management system to support Desjardins Group’s advanced analytics capabilities. This system will provide integrated, flexible, secure and standardized data, and promote its use across the organization. You contribute to the advanced analytics team’s mission of enhancing the value of Desjardins Group’s data and supporting the digital transformation. You’re expected to create, develop, deploy and test advanced analytics applications based on big data technologies. You’re also responsible for implementing robust data management, cleaning and transformation processes and recommending solutions that meet business partners’ needs. You and your team will help the business sectors deliver advanced analytics solutions, from start to finish. More specifically, you will be required to:
Design, develop and maintain reliable, dynamic, automated data pipelines
Collect, integrate and transform structured and unstructured data (JSON, CSV, Parquet)
Monitor, optimize and make available data pipelines
Manage data quality, governance and traceability (DataOps)
Work closely with data scientists
Help analyze and resolve data-related issues
Use and maintain the CI/CD pipelines deployed through Azure DevOps

What you bring to the table
Bachelor's degree in a related field
A minimum of four years of relevant experience
Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
Experience elaborating data solutions
Knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec
Proficiency in Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse Analytics and knowledge of Azure Databricks
Proficiency in Azure Purview, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
Knowledge of Python
Knowledge of data processing and storage technologies, including Apache Spark and Delta Lake
