We are currently seeking experienced General Services Operators to join our offshore team. Employees can mobilise from all capital cities within Australia.
How you will be spending your day:
- Helping to mentor Timor-Leste Deck Crew personnel to achieve the required competencies through successful verification of competency completion.
- Operating cranes to the specific requirements of the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Platform lifts, load and unloading of supply boats.
- Checking the weight and size of the load to be lifted; ensure crane is working within recommended load radius.
- Performing parking and shutdown duties as per site requirements.
- Carrying out daily routine checks on the crane in accordance with the manufacturer’s maintenance procedures and site-specific pre-start checklist.
- Completing routine first line maintenance duties including but limited to greasing, lubrication and machinery maintenance in accordance with relevant manufactures recommendations.
- Maintaining cranes in a clean, tidy and where applicable, watertight condition, including cabs, machinery housings and external surfaces.
- Assisting maintenance personnel in routine maintenance and repair activities and general deck duties.
- Establishing and maintain open, honest and positive communication to enable capacity development of multi-cultural personnel.
- Ensuring trade discipline understand safety requirements, key performance indicators, quality standards and time frames required to complete scope of works.
- Enabling opportunities for the completion of competency development evidence recording and sign off.
- Providing ‘hands on’ operational support to teams where required.
Key skills & experience we are looking for from you:
- Offshore Crane Operation certificate
- Proven knowledge of lifting and rigging regulations and statutory requirements
- Competent in performing crane maintenance to manufacturer's and Australian standards
- Certificate of Competency in Dogging
- Certificate of Competency in Rigging Advanced
- Certificate of Competency in Crane Tower
- Current T/BOSIET
