The Product Manager supports the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans for their product porfolio through market insights, competitor intelligence and deep product knowledge.
The Product Manager is also responsible for supporting the sales team to execute effectively by planning and delivering strong product launches, providing regular education on Convatec and competitor products and maintaining effective and current marketing collateral.
Key Responsibilities
Drive & support achievement of business results (sales, market share)
Supports the development of ANZ brand plans using marketing processes and frameworks, based on relevant market data, customer, and competitor insights, aligned to Global Brand Plans.
Manage product sales and samples budgets, continually monitoring and analysing actual product performance against forecasted sales and samples usage.
Develop and execute promotional/advertising strategies and collateral that are consistent with corporate image and objectives.
Identify new business opportunities and develop business case for prioritization.
Analyse competitor activity and develop plans to combat.
Develop, execute, and monitor product strategy in market to drive growth in collaboration with sales managers.
Ensure the Sales team is trained to effectively sell on clinical, product and competitor knowledge.
Actively support the tender submission process.
Product management
Develop and sustain deep knowledge of Convatec products, and how they support the patient journey.
Manage the launch of new products and line extensions, and product discontinuations, including internal processes and communications, to optimal effect.
Stay informed on Convatec’s market position, key competitor activities and the latest standards of care in the industry.
Play the role of Product Champion to both internal stakeholders and our customers, partnering through professional engagement, providing expertise and facilitating quality technical training.
Cultivate strong business relationships
Represent Convatec at key local events and coordinate events, when required.
Proactively support the Commercial team and ANZ sales team, as required.
Develop and sustain network Key Opinion Leaders in conjunction with Professional Education Manager and sales managers.
Key Requirements
At least 5 years’ marketing experience, ideally in the healthcare industry.
Detail & result orientated, shows initiative, and has an ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
Strong analytical skills, with the demonstrated ability to source, analyse and interpret data.
Experience successfully managing product launches.
Experience in making implementation plans that allocate resources, identify obstacles, and include robust contingency plans.
Skilled in communication, adjusting communication content and style to meet the needs of diverse stakeholders.
Uses customer insights to drive and guide the development of customer solutions.
Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
Desired requirements
Prior sales experience advantageous.
Experience in wound care or diabetes
Experience in online marketing, including social media.
Experience in the use of graphic design tools.
