Senior Commercial Manager

Location: Ealing

Full Time

Salary up to £80,000 per annum, plus,

40 hours per week (8-5 Monday -Friday)

Pyramid Plus South, a joint venture partnership between A2Dominion and Mears Property Services, provides repairs and maintenance, compliance, planned replacements and fire risk assessment works. We successfully complete over 35,000 repairs, 1,000 voids and fit 600 kitchens and bathrooms annually to 23,500 homes. With a wide range of upcoming projects, there are exciting times ahead as we continue to grow!

You will be part of a team supporting high standard Commercial activities to Housing properties, delivering best in class commercial acumen, customer service and  satisfying all safety, quality and cost control standards.

  • Management of Commercial Team & Process to ensure maximisation and protection of profit, cash flow & conversion, risk aversion and accurate performance reporting in line with agreed standard operating procedures.
  • Carry out reviews, audits and forecasts for all aspects of contractual commercial performance cost & value reconciliation (CVR).
  • Establish and monitor indicative commercial targets & incentivisation schemes using MCM data and contract P & Ls to assess profitability and performance versus budget and ensure work valuations are legitimately maximised via the implementation of recommendations and actions.
  • Review and monitor Schedule of Rates, open book and fixed price contracts, converting values across different Schedule of Rates & pricing modules, ensuring metrics are applied to optimise contract performance & resource use, including supplier and sub contractor payments and negotiation of rates.
  • Support failing contracts with profit improvement recovery plans, facilitating cash conversion via the movement and clearance of aged debt and work in progress (WIP) and promoting good practice from best performing contracts.
  • Support contracts in price tendering, the commercial mobilisation of new contracts and the provision of training to promote the commercial awareness and competency of operational staff.
  • Ensure the customer experience is central to all activities by adopting a professional manner when communicating with all stakeholders This includes but is not limited to appearance, company ID, maintaining a high standard of Health &
  • Safety requirements and keep all supplied company assets in a good condition in line with the company policies.
  • Work with all team members to ensure a commercially efficient and effective service is delivered to service users and client and in support of the attainment and maintenance of high levels of satisfaction with performance delivery according to agreed standard operating / contractual procedures and targets.

Role Criteria:

Essential Qualifications

  • ONC/D in construction.

Essential Experience

  • Experience and proven track record as QS in commercial environment.
  • Experience in social housing sector.
  • 1 year plus working as a line manager within a commercial environment.
  • Experience of partnership/alliance/ collaborative working.
  • Experience of handling multiple tasks in a high volume, rapidly changing environment.
