Sales Representative (m/f/d)

Objective
Monitors the commercial activities regarding manual and industrial machines manufactured by Bakon.

Organizational Context
Bakon designs, engineers, and manufactures bakery machines and production lines for the food industry. The company supplies these machines and production lines worldwide. The organization has approximately 45 employees.

Key Result Areas

  • Seller of machines, directly or indirectly involved in Bakon’s commercial activities.

  • Motivates and activates agents, dealers, and resellers, and sells manual and industrial machines directly in the respective countries.

Tasks:

  • Telephone communication with agents, resellers

  • Acquisition and acquisition planning

  • Follow-up on quotations

  • Conducting demonstrations at Bakon or at customer locations

  • Sales meetings

  • Monitoring sales policy/strategy

  • Reporting through visit reports

  • Trade fair assistance

  • Variable Tasks:

  • Visiting customers outside the respective countries

  • Receiving other customers.

  • Communication:

  • Maintains communication with dealers, resellers, as well as between inside and outside sales

  • Responsible for appointments and organizing company visits from the respective countries

  • Provides a general overview during sales meetings regarding the functional and commercial performance of the machines in the sales market

Reporting:

  • Reports directly to the General Manager or as needed via visit reports

Acquisition:

  • Responsible for weekly acquisition planning in the respective countries. The plan is presented during sales meetings.

Policy Matters:

  • Co-responsible for developing the sales policy/strategy in the respective countries

  • Makes proposals to guide the company’s commercial and trade activities in the respective countries and contributes to the development of policy principles

  • Discusses agreed matters and policy decisions regarding agents, resellers, etc., in his/her region during sales meetings

  • Prepares marketing plans and sales forecasts in consultation with resellers, dealers, etc., and sets sales targets per period, e.g., budget and forecasts.

Management:

  • Participates in sales meetings

  • Organizes and coordinates trade activities in the respective countries

  • Informs management about all market developments for Bakon-manufactured equipment in the respective countries

Quotations:

  • Co-responsible for every quotation issued for the respective countries by Bakon, both technically and regarding pricing

Profile:

Education Requirements

  • A completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent level through relevant work experience

Required Work Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar role

  • Experience in the food industry is a plus

  • Experience in commercial activities

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

  • Fluency in Dutch is required; English/German language skills are a valuable addition

  • Accurate, independent, flexible, and communicative
