Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is looking for a Bilingual Spanish-English Employee Support Translator for its Jefferson City, MO location.

Your Responsibilities:

• Ensure a safe and clean work environment by educating and guiding personnel on the safe use of all equipment and resources, while maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.

• Responsible for listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements between Spanish and English.

• Translate work instructions between supervisors and employees.

• Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

• Capable of conveying the tone and style of the original language.

• Sensitive to cultural expectations and differences among employees.

• Learn the ITM system to support training and coaching others, building capabilities on the tools and methods.

• Foster a coaching culture across the organization, focusing on employee engagement and accountability.

• Facilitate activities across the factory to implement and mature the ITM system. Assist in the maturity assessment process to advance the organization through the ITM deployment phases.

• Adhere to company policies and the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.

• Resolve personnel issues by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions.

Your Background:

• Associate’s degree or High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years of manufacturing or relevant experience.

• Must have work authorization to be employed by Hitachi Energy in the United States.

• Fluency in both Spanish and English is essential.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.

• Availability and flexibility to work 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 11:30 pm) and 3rd shift (11:30 pm - 7:30 am).

• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
