The opportunity

The Electrotechnical engineer for Power Quality Solutions (FACTS) has the global responsibility to enable the GPQS CoC and regional HUB to understand technical requirements of Customers and ensure customer deliveries for PQS projects are in line with global solution/ strategy and Support Global CoC organization in driving strategical growth by your technical expertise. Provide quality and safe design solutions to customer, ensuring market
alignment and relevance.

How you’ll make an impact:

  • Strong Experience in Sub-Station Design / PQS or HVDC Plant Design. (Mainly Primary Design - Layout Engineering & Co-ordination with other Design concerns)

  • Preparation / Review / Approval of Layout Engineering deliverables (Primary Design Deliverables of Layout (Plan & Section), Elec. Clearance Diagrams, Mag. Field Clearances, Erection Key Diagrams, Cable Trench & Conduit layout, Grounding & Lightning Protection, Civil Task (civil input) drawings, Typical Installation Documents)

  • Preparation / Review / Approval of Design Calculations (Busbar (Flexible & Tube) Sizing, Short circuit force, Cantilever Strength, Insulation Co-Ordination / BIL, Sag-Tension, Spacer / Critical Span, Grounding, Lightning Protection, Static & Dynamic Load input to Civil Design)

  • Preparation / Review / Approval of Technical Specification, Technical Data Sheets, Vendor Drawings / Data sheets.

  • Vendor Evaluation (Technical) for Switchyard Components and Procurement Engineering

  • Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

  • Should have a Degree in Electrical, Mechnaical and are interested to grow in PQS PLANT Design (similar to Substation primary Design) Career.

  • Should have experience in PQS / HVDC / Substation Design - Layout Engineering.

  • Should have 10 years of experience in Design Engineering with EPC or Consultancy Organization. Developing designs in 3D Revit / SolidWorks tool.

  • Revit OR Other 3D Modelling using Plant Design Tools (Solidworks/Smart Plant / PDS / PDMS - AutoCAD, Micro Station) or Assembly Design Tools (NX, ADI).

  • Basic Knowledge / Expertise in concept of Sketch, Model, drawings, BIM.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions.

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
