The Opportunity 

The AVP, Broker Distribution Greater Ontario Region leads the execution of Aviva’s regional broker distribution strategy within the greater Ontario (GO) region, translating national priorities into regional action. The Regional AVP is accountable for regional portfolio growth, broker performance, and the effectiveness of the Broker Distribution team. This role acts as a key connector across National Accounts, Regional Distribution, and line‑of‑business partners, while owning senior broker relationship management to deliver a consistent “One Aviva” experience in the market. This role provides support across all business units— Personal Insurance, Aviva Business Insurance, and Global Corporate Specialty—to ensure alignment with Business Unit objectives.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the execution of regional distribution priorities aligned to enterprise, BU and national strategies, with a focus on profitable growth, portfolio quality, and broker engagement

  • Assess GO market dynamics, portfolio performance, and broker segmentation to set clear priorities and resource allocation

  • Identify growth, remediation, and cross‑sell opportunities within key regional accounts and across broker portfolios

  • Act as senior regional relationship leader for priority brokers, supporting BRMs in high‑impact engagements and joint business planning

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex broker, portfolio, service, or performance issues within the region

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of Broker Relationship Managers; set clear expectations, priorities, and performance goals

  • Build GO region capability by ensuring coverage across specialties, sharing expertise within the team, and developing future leaders

  • Contribute to enterprise initiatives, tools, and process improvements that enhance broker experience and distribution effectiveness nationally

  • Partner with Underwriting, Claims, and other internal stakeholders to deliver coordinated, high‑quality outcomes for brokers and customers

  • Report on GO region execution of national and enterprise strategies, including performance against growth, profitability, objectives

  • Ensure Aviva’s governance principles, risk appetite, and compliance standards are embedded in all regional distribution activities

What you’ll get:

  • The salary band for this position ranges from $150,000 to $190,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
