Join us as our new Documentation & CAD Specialist

As Documentation & CAD Specialist, you'll provide regional CAD support to Facilities, Engineering and Sourcing (FES) and Operations to maintain site drawings and create drawings/models for new projects. You will administrate a Document Management System, lead a team of remote engineers in CAD updates, and help with 3D modeling for CAPEX projects in the design phases.

You will join a collaborative team of project managers, project engineers and project specialists supporting the Novonesis CAPEX in the North American region. We are a dynamic, fast-paced group committed to delivering on the needs of the organization. We manage the project process through the design phases, construction, commission turn over and closure of capital projects throughout North America.
 

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

• Preparing scale or schematic drawings using CAD software in support of Americas Project Execution and Operations.

• Managing a team of remote drafters by performing quality checks on their drawings and providing feedback

• Controlling the process of drawing review, iterative corrections/revisions from Engineering/Operations and repository in our drawing management application.

• Researching and implementing new software applications such as 3D Modeling and technology to lead and implement innovative solutions to stay current with CAD industry standards.

• Performing drawing creation, 3D model creation, drawing conversion to Novonesis drafting software, implementing drawing redline comments to master copy and update in the Novonesis Document Management System.

• Developing/maintaining regional and site-specific drafting and drawing standards.

• Cross functional development with equipment registration and food safe documentation.

To succeed you must hold:

• Possess five years related experience or a two-year degree and two years of related experience

• Advanced knowledge in CAD software

• Advanced knowledge in drafting conventions and standards typical for an industrial processing facility, including the preparation of P&IDs

• Competency and experience with drafting in 3D modeling software such as Navisworks or Revit

• Fluency in reading and comprehending 2D plans, 3D models and drawings both electronically and hard copies.

• Capable of managing multiple projects at one time with strong organization skills

• Prior experience with the administration of a drawing management system strongly preferred.

• Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office software.

• Effective written and oral communication skills

• Possess the visual acuity and physical abilities to support all functions of the position.

Expected salary range: $55,000-$60,000 annually
