The Technical Field Sales position is responsible for selling the company’s products, the developing and implementing sales plans to accomplish company goals, and reviewing market analysis of customer needs. The Technical Field Sales employee will provide direction, recommendations, and suggestions to support to business operations pertaining to sales of the organization.
Territory: NC, SC and GA
Based: Charlotte, Raliegh, Greenville or Atlanta
Basic Qualifications:
Interact and correspond with customers daily
Perform and prepare reviews of the company strategic direction and facilitate adherence to this direction
Maintains knowledge of industry trends affecting the company’s sales
Assists management in the annual review, preparation and administration of the organization's sales forecasts
Recommends, evaluates and participates in sales programs
Responsible for meeting team targets and key performance indicators
Develops and implements strategic sales plans to accommodate corporate goals.
Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, price schedules and discount rates
Analyzes sales statistics to formulate policy and assist in promoting sales
Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
Delivers sales presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives
Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships and negotiating and closing deals
Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Recommends expenditures and appropriations for research and development work
Effectively manages sales budget for the region
Travel is required- up to 90%
Other duties as assigned by management
Technical background required
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Sales is preferred
3+ years of related sales or sales support experience in plastic injection molding industry
Must be well organized, manage time well and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Must have global and cultural awareness
Must support mission and purpose of the company and be committed to professional and personal growth
Must take initiative, be results driven and possess business acumen
Ability to work as part of a team and interface with other departments
Good analytical skills
Ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks
