WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

You will report directly to the Training and Onboarding Manager of the Central Retail Territory and serve on the NA Direct Business Operations team.  As a member of the Training and Onboarding team, you will work closely in partnership with Territory Operations, Firstline Programs, EKINs, Retail Field Leadership Team, Store Operations and Services as well as key internal stakeholders (e.g., Global NAX, Channel Teams, Retail Loss Prevention and Human Resources).

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced Trainer with skills in facilitation training, coaching and developing Retail leaders and store teams.  In this role, you will deliver education to our Retail leaders through engaging, multi-modality training plans and programs.  You will foster impactful cross-functional relationships and implement training strategies as a part of business operations and projects.

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE

  • 3 + years' retail leadership experience, including 2-year training facilitation experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in coaching and counselling employees.
  • Experience in presenting or facilitating content preferred.
  • Experience with both in-person and virtual (ex. Zoom) facilitation preferred.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred 
  • Proficiency with AirTable and Keynote and/or PowerPoint preferred.
  • Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, and stand for extended periods of time
  • Flexible schedule based on retail and business needs – ability to work weekends, evenings, nights, and holidays
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to all stores in NA and meetings, both local and remote.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Our retail Firstline teammates are the first point of contact for our athletes* and Nike.  As a NAX trainer, you will facilitate training to our Firstline teammates developing their service, selling, leadership and retail business skills. You will play a meaningful role in ensuring the success of the team, the business, and the Brand.

As a NAX trainer, you will:

  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions to multi-unit leaders, store leaders and athletes on various Global and NA training priorities.
  • Train various retail Firstline Program participants audiences on leadership and career development topics skills.  (NAX focuses, as well as Global and Geo training priorities.)
  • Proactively seek insights and trends around skill gaps and work with NAX Leaders on strategies to fill these training needs.
  • Apply train-the-trainer approach to prepare multi-unit store leaders to drive ongoing learning on subjects ranging from retail and sales floor leadership to career growth and Leadership Defined.
  • Coordinate and implement leadership training and Athlete onboarding for new store openings.
  • Act as the liaison between Nike Direct corporate, NAX partners and Field Retail Leadership.
  • Visit Nike retail stores to as well as measure, evaluate and support in-store training progress as well as educate & inspire teams,
  • Monitor store-level progress toward priorities by tracking and reporting key training metrics.
  • Build, Track, and implement project enablement plans from brief to sustain.
  • Be a change champion. Solicit feedback and be known for providing detailed and useful feedback on training behaviors.
  • Serve as an ambassador of Nike's heritage and values within both the Nike organization and the community.
