The Quality Engineer is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.
Responsibilities:
Ability to identify the scope and E2E testing scope.
Ability to write TCs, test execution, follow JIRA lifecycle and automate the test scenarios.
Maintenance of Automation framework and repository.
Collaborate with Development, testing team and Support teams to clarify specs, raise issues/concerns and identify risks throughout the software development life cycle.
Create reports (daily status reports and weekly reports) showing testing progress and blockers.
Understand and analyze Business, Functional, Technical and UI (User Interface) requirements of the project/release.
Responsible for overall adherence to QA automation and Testing Protocol and processes.
Investigate production issues by recreating in test environments, working with development for resolution and coordinating with Support for release.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
Must have 3 to 6 years of experience in QA role.
1-3 years Quality Assurance (QA) experience in the Financial Service industry preferred.
Exp in Automation tool like Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, RestAssured, Cypress, etc.
Experience in BDD/TDD framework development.
Exposure to core java coding.
Exposure to Jenkins setup, DevOps activities
Ability to think out-of-the box to provide smart solutions
Good to have exposure to non-functional testing – Recovery, SQL, JIRA, Python etc.
Understanding of QA within the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies
Understanding of Quality Processes
Demonstrated logical analysis skills, attention to detail and problem-solving Proven ability to work to deadlines.
Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
