Job Description:

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Day to day maintenance of equipment,

  • Preparation of laboratory reagents and replenishment of stock as required

  • Loading slides onto Immunohistochemistry staining machine,

  • Frozen section preparation and sectioning and

  • Direct transfer of Simple Specimens may be required.


Classifications for this position will range from BU3 to BU8 depending on experience ($62,904 to $74,848 per annum) .

Your Contribution

The successful candidate will have a Relevant Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Diploma of Science or equivalent

  • Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience in a Histopathology Diagnostic Laboratory

  • Good knowledge of routine histopathology laboratory practice and techniques

  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and reliably

  • Current National criminal history check

Our laboratory is committed to providing the most comprehensive range of diagnostic services available, it is N.A.T.A. and R.C.P.A. accredited. The consultants are specialists in a wide range of histological and cytopathological investigations. They are supported by medical scientists with considerable experience in all areas of anatomical pathology.
