About the Role
You will be responsible for:
Day to day maintenance of equipment,
Preparation of laboratory reagents and replenishment of stock as required
Loading slides onto Immunohistochemistry staining machine,
Frozen section preparation and sectioning and
Direct transfer of Simple Specimens may be required.
Classifications for this position will range from BU3 to BU8 depending on experience ($62,904 to $74,848 per annum) .
Your Contribution
The successful candidate will have a Relevant Diploma of Laboratory Technology, Diploma of Science or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience in a Histopathology Diagnostic Laboratory
Good knowledge of routine histopathology laboratory practice and techniques
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent time management skills
Demonstrated ability to work accurately and reliably
Current National criminal history check

About the Department of Anatomical Pathology
Our laboratory is committed to providing the most comprehensive range of diagnostic services available, it is N.A.T.A. and R.C.P.A. accredited. The consultants are specialists in a wide range of histological and cytopathological investigations. They are supported by medical scientists with considerable experience in all areas of anatomical pathology.
