What You’ll Be Doing
Develop, implement, and monitor infection prevention goals and strategies for Logan Health Medical Center.
Conduct surveillance, analyze data, and report findings to federal, state, and local public health agencies.
Lead and participate in Infection Prevention Committees and quality improvement initiatives.
Educate staff on infection prevention policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
Serve as a trusted resource for patients, providers, and staff regarding infection control practices.
Ensure readiness and response during outbreaks or non-compliance events.
Stay current with state and federal regulations and apply them effectively.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Lab Science, Medical Technology, or related field.
Preferred: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or ability to obtain within 2 years of hire.
Infection prevention experience in acute care or healthcare setting – preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn additional software systems.
Familiarity with CMS Infection Prevention standards and regulatory reporting – a plus.

Seasonal Position Details:
Full-Time work schedule required for no less than 13-week period
15% Premium (Seasonal Premium)
Additional night and weekend shift differential pay

Shift:
Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Schedule: Full-time hours, 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday, approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
