Position Overview

Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for hospitality and outdoor recreation? Join our lakeside team as the Restaurant & Marina Manager, where you’ll oversee not only our fast-casual dining restaurant but also the full scope of marina operations, including the fuel dock, campgrounds, ship's store (open seasonally), general property maintenance, and groundskeeping.

This hands-on role requires a proactive, team-oriented leader who can efficiently manage day-to-day operations, ensure an exceptional guest experience, and maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for both visitors and staff. You will be responsible for hiring, training, and managing teams across both departments, optimizing business performance, and ensuring the smooth and successful operation of all marina and restaurant functions. Essential Functions:

  • Supervise daily operations of both the restaurant and marina, ensuring smooth service flow, guest satisfaction, and a safe, welcoming environment.
  • Manage and train restaurant and operations staff, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Maintain food and beverage inventory, monitor vendor relationships, and control costs to meet financial targets.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, alcohol service laws, environmental guidelines, and workplace safety standards.
  • Oversee marina functions, including fuel dock operations, ship’s store management, campgrounds, landscaping, and groundskeeping.
  • Create staff schedules and manage employee timekeeping processes.
  • Monitor and analyze business performance metrics to optimize efficiency and profitability.
  • Develop and maintain efficient restaurant processes and operational procedures.
  • Address guest concerns promptly, working with both customers and team members to resolve issues.
  • Actively participate in cooking and other roles as needed to ensure smooth operations.
  • Deliver weekly bank deposits, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial transactions.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotional activities as needed.
  • Any additional duties assigned for success.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Proven experience in hospitality, food service, marina management, or a related role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities with a hands-on management style
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards, labor regulations, and industry best practices
  • Ability to analyze business performance metrics and financial data to drive efficiency and profitability.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and point-of-sale (POS) systems
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness
  • Strong understanding of customer service principles and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences                              
  • Clear background check and drug screening
  • Full availability on weekends and during major summer holidays. Typical Restaurant hours of operation are Friday–Sunday, 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Certification in food handling or alcohol service (e.g., ServSafe)
  • Experience with seasonal business operations and managing fluctuating demand
  • Enthusiasm for lakeside living and the boating lifestyle

Working Conditions:

  • Works both indoors, where temperatures may become hot due to cooking activities, and outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions.
  • Remains stationary for extended periods of time.
  • Moves freely about indoor spaces and outdoor areas traversing uneven terrain
  • Operates grills, fryers, cutting tools, and other kitchen equipment safely.
  • Operates small handheld power tools and lawn equipment as needed.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively with guests and staff.  
  • Moves up to 50 pounds and performs tasks requiring physical exertion.
  • Works safely near water and on docks.

Travel Requirements:

This position may occasionally require travel within Georgia and South Carolina (1-2 times per year) to other business locations, meetings, or event sites as needed.

The anticipated pay range for this position is $38,000 to $44,000, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.

In addition to base pay, you have the opportunity to earn monthly bonuses based on the restaurant's performance, with a maximum annual earning potential of $19,200. 
 
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
