An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cabotegravir Supply Lead within the ViiV Supply Chain team.  In this role you will lead the Cabotegravir Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process and governance forum and oversee the implementation of key cabotegravir programmes to ensure ViiV delivers on the ambition for patients who need Cabotegravir Long Acting and to do the right thing. 

You will be responsible for consolidation of the cabotegravir global demand across multiple sources for both Treatment and PrEP indications and total capacity picture by interacting with the key supply partners. You will represent ViiV Supply Chain in specific projects which have the potential to impact cabotegravir demand and will oversee the delivery of key programmes both internally and externally on cabotegravir and rilpivirine long acting.

You will ensure effectiveness of the governance process that proactively assesses trade-offs to balance demand and supply, and you will contribute by presenting relevant information to support stage-gated decisions and implement allocation principles (if necessary). 

Key Responsibilities

Your key deliverable is assurance of supply continuity in the near to mid-term for cabotegravir containing products through a robust governance process covering all cabotegravir supply and demand. Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Engage and build relationships with a diverse set of ViiV stakeholders across Global Commercial, Access, Medical/Clinical, etc at Leadership-1 and -2 level to understand the variable and complex set of cabotegravir demand sources, each of with different external drivers – Business growth, public health, pipeline progression

  • Engage and build relationships with key external supply partners in GSC and with other third-party suppliers (e.g. Janssen through existing governance forums) on delivery of our ambition through comprehension of key capacity-impacting projects or events in the product lifecycle of the highly complex cabotegravir and rilpivirine manufacturing processes.

  • Effectively structure and coordinate the Cabotegravir S&OP governance meetings attended by senior representatives of ViiV Healthcare and GSK Global Supply Chain; deploying ViiV Enhance tools to reach clear outcomes.

  • Consolidate required inputs from multiple sources across the business to prepare Cabotegravir S&OP inputs that facilitate effective decision-making on the LRF horizon.  This might include identifying improvements for demand consolidation and mapping new sources of demand.

  • Effectively communicate key outcomes from the Cabotegravir S&OP meeting upward to ViiV Global S&OP for decision-making and then rapidly cascade governance outcomes, all to the monthly drumbeat of our Core Commercial Cycle  

  • Represent ViiV Supply Chain in other key strategic business projects on Cabotegravir LA and translate impact of projects on demand and capacity.

  • Become a contributing member of ViiV Supply Chain RMCB; proactively anticipate and manage any significant cabotegravir supply risks, recommending actions to the ViiV Senior Management as appropriate

Basic Qualifications

  • Degree level of a relevant field –supply chain, finance operational or business management

  • Must have pharmaceutical background preferably in at least two operational roles

  • Must understand principles of supply chain, demand generation and the systems and processes underpinning both; ideal to understand ViiV ways of working and have an excellent network across GSK and ViiV

  • Detailed knowledge of the Core Commercial Cycle, finance, supply chain and logistics activities related to demand and capacity

  • Project management experience / highly organised to deliver change

  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills

  • Strong interpersonal skills and capable of building relationship aligned with excellent communication

  • Problem solving abilities suitable for handling highly complex inputs across logistics, technical / engineering, quality, regulatory and operations

Hybrid working applies to this role, with ViiV expectation of 2-3 days per week being office based at London HQ.

As this is a temporary secondment role we are only able to consider applications from UK based employees. Due to the holiday period interviews are expected to start end of Aug &/or 1st week in Sept.
