What You Will Do:

The ideal candidate will bring extensive healthcare industry experience with a proven track record of delivering innovative clinical and strategic performance solutions to hospitals and health systems.  This individual will lead the design, development and implementation of integrated (clinical effectiveness and system operations) optimization efforts within resulting in the workforce and capacity management solution.  He or she will manage the work stream efforts to timeline / scope / budget across the larger platform.

This Associate Director will work with Guidehouse specialty areas and partner with the client to deliver robust solutions/outcomes for the client and ultimate revenue for the firm including: performance improvement, workforce productivity, clinical operations, clinical shared services and revenue management.

This Associate Director will participate in business development and relationship management activities for Guidehouse Healthcare clients requiring optimization. This individual will play a key role in helping guide the firm’s continued development of leading-edge consulting, in the performance improvement service line.

  • This position includes responsibilities in both leveraging and delivering quality, high-level, consulting services to clients for the Guidehouse Healthcare Provider Practice.  The following sections describe the specific areas of prime importance in the execution of these responsibilities:

  • Deliver industry expertise and management consulting services in support of client engagements in the Healthcare Practice

  • Develop practice wide methodologies to be applied across individual account strategies / client plans

  • Establish account management relationships with key client decision makers

  • Identify key industry issues and develop a practice response

  • Assist in the development of industry alliances and relationships within vertical markets

  • Provide delivery assurance support for engagements with targeted clients

  • Mentor Guidehouse staff on assignments within the account delivering services

  • Provide visible leadership within the account and the practice.

  • Leads consulting projects Statement of Work, Project Plans, Writes Proposals, Presents to Client Executive; Facilitates, Advises and Persuades key decision makers and influencers

What You Will Need:

  • Requires a University Degree and minimum 7-10 years of prior relevant work or consulting experience; some roles may require graduate-level education Master’s or Doctorate degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree)

  • 7-10+ years rigorous project/program management leadership of complex provider deliverables with 5 of those years in larger complex provider systems.

  • Ability to develop and monitor performance metrics at all levels of operations both clinical and non-clinical.

  • Ability to articulate financial and non-financial results across multiple projects with ease

  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills

  • Health system leadership experience in one or more of the following areas: Emergency Department, Peri-Op, Nursing Operations

  • Knowledge of and familiarity with IT solutions and tech-enabled solutions which are integral to enabling efficiency and appropriate to quality and throughput of care

  • • Capacity to adapt and lead others to understand and accept values, strategies, goals and plans in response to changing business conditions

  • • Experience leading complex projects with multiple workstreams

  • • Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Outstanding oral and written presentation skills and is recognized as an industry expert (via published articles, white papers and public speaking engagements)

  • Flexible, positive, clear interpersonal and communication skills with ability to facilitate the exchange of information within all levels of Guidehouse as well as a provider based, client organization, including, but not limited to, hospital executives, physicians and other professional and ancillary staff

  • MS Project Experience preferred

  • RN preferred

The annual salary range for this position is $144,400.00-$216,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
