The Crown Is Yours

We are seeking a Senior Director of Sports Operations to serve as the business leader of a designated sport in our digital sportsbook. In this role, you will be responsible for sport-level economics, primarily focusing on Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR) and Net Gaming Revenue (NGR).  You‘ll bring together a team of experts to deliver world-class go-to-market execution for a specific sport category, ensuring it operates as its own entity with all performance, operational, and execution responsibilities owned by you and your team.  

What you’ll do as a Senior Director, Sports Operations

  • Determine the go-to-market value proposition for a specific sport and ensure that team members across all functions are aligned. 

  • Provide critical support in achieving sport-level financial goals, with acute accountability to the NGR of a sport.

  • Establish sport-level monetization goals and metrics aligned with the overall sport strategy and position DraftKings for market leadership. 

  • Develop and execute a single sport strategy, go-to-market position, and customer journey, making real-time adjustments as necessary

  • Drive innovation and deliver best-in-class products and experiences tailored to our new and existing customers.

  • Lead a cross-functional team, ensuring a single-threaded focus on sport-level execution.

  • Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to ensure the company remains aware of its competitive standing in all areas.

What you’ll bring

  • At least 8 years in the regulated online sports betting industry with at least 5 years leading, developing, and building teams. 

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Business, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics is preferred.

  • Experience managing a promotional budget or direct accountability to top-line business metrics is strongly preferred.

  • Proven ability to deliver on complex objectives that exceed business expectations.

  • Eagerness to collaborate and work cross-functionally across multiple stakeholders to accomplish goals.

  • Strong ability to manage tight deadlines, shifting priorities, and multiple complex projects simultaneously.

We’re a publicly traded (NASDAQ: DKNG) technology company headquartered in Boston. The US base salary range for this full-time position is 180,000.00 USD - 225,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The compensation information displayed on each job posting reflects the range for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
