Summary of Job Duties:

**This position is located in Northwest, Arkansas**

This Assistant Professor faculty position at UAMS College of Pharmacy supports educational, patient care, and quality improvement efforts, particularly in collaboration with the UAMS Northwest Family Medicine Residency Program. The 12-month, non-tenure-track role is based in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and involves providing clinical pharmacy services in a patient-centered medical home within an academic health center. As part of an inter-professional team, the faculty member will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure quality and cost-effective care. In addition to clinical duties, the role includes teaching pharmacy students and residents, contributing to scholarly work through publications and presentations, and providing service to the College and residency program.


Qualifications:

  • PharmD + completion of ASHP-accredited PGY2 ambulatory care pharmacy residency or

  • PharmD + completion of a PGY1 residency, fellowship, or non-ASHP accredited postgraduate program (*requires at least 3 years of advanced clinical practice in ambulatory care pharmacy).

  • **For candidates meeting option #2 for education above: must have completed at least 3 years of advanced clinical practice in ambulatory care pharmacy must hold active Arkansas pharmacist license or be eligible for Arkansas pharmacist licensure.**

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of PGY2 residency in ambulatory care.

  • At least 3 years of advanced clinical practice experience in an ambulatory care, family medicine or internal medicine clinic; academic/faculty experience, including teaching pharmacy students or other health professionals or health profession students; experience providing interprofessional education and classroom teaching. Preference is given to candidates with current/ongoing experience in ambulatory care, family medicine or internal medicine environment.

  • Board certification in ambulatory care pharmacy (BCACP).
