Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems is seeking a Production Planner 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Manufacturing Process Engineering / Standard Tooling organization working in a collaborative environment while promoting a positive and proactive teamwork environment. This position will be located in St. Augustine, FL.

 

The selected candidate will support Manufacturing Process Engineering and Standard Tooling teams across multiple programs. We seek Production Planners that use a unique skill set and hands-on approach to performing activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including planning, continuous improvement, material management, process optimization and liaison. The Production Planner determines the need for tooling and makes recommendations for the design and planning of required tools. Prepares shop work orders for materials and product processing and coordinates to ensure that items are being processed according to specifications and time requirements. Maintains progress reports, schedules, and other related records.

Responsibilities for this role include, but not limited to:

• Submission and follow-up on rapid request orders (RRO’s) for industrial supplies.
• Monitor and compile reports for the industrial supplies budget.
• Generate reports to identify aging tool replacements needed.
• Lead aging tool removal processes.
• Monitor aging checkouts of tools by mechanics and send out appropriate notifications.
• Coordinate new tool deliveries including new consumable delivery system for new areas.
• Support toolbox re-shadowing efforts.
• Communicate with production teams regarding newly designated areas for assets.

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED and 4 years of related Standard Tool, asset control, or tool repair experience.
• Ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 25 pounds overhead.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs carrying/transporting tools. 
• Microsoft Office Experience (primarily Microsoft Excel).
• Ability to work any shift as needed per business requirements.
• Must have the ability to obtain an Active DOD Secret Security Clearance.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access. 

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with pneumatic and standard hand tool usage and requirements.
• Aerospace industry facilities experience.
• Experience working in a mission critical facility / maintenance environment.
• Experience using CribMaster or a similar CMMS tool.
• Current DOD Secret Security clearance that has been granted / renewed within the past 5 years.

Primary Level Salary Range: $55,800.00 - $93,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
