Supply Chain Analytics and Business Intelligence Specialist II
Position Summary
The Supply Chain Analytics and Business Intelligence Specialist II is responsible for developing data-driven insights, dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions that support key Supply Chain functions across the organization. This role partners with stakeholders in Governance, Supplier Performance, Planning, Inventory, Demand, Forecasting, Procurement, and Master Data to understand business needs, analyze datasets, and deliver actionable insights that improve decision-making, process visibility, and operational performance.
This position combines technical data analytics capabilities with practical knowledge of Supply Chain processes. The specialist will support the development of business intelligence tools, automated reporting, data quality improvements, and process efficiency initiatives. The role will also contribute to the use of automation and artificial intelligence tools to reduce manual work, improve reporting accuracy, and enable faster, more informed decision-making.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, R, Excel, and related analytics platforms, as well as familiarity with automation tools, AI-enabled technologies, and coding assistants such as Codex, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Analytics & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, scorecards, reports, and automated reporting solutions to support Supply Chain functions, including Governance, Supplier Performance, Planning, Inventory Management, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Procurement, and Master Data.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, root causes, performance gaps, and opportunities for improvement across supply chain operations.
- Translate business requirements into clear analytics outputs, reporting solutions, KPIs, and visualizations.
- Create standardized reports and dashboards for business reviews, governance meetings, operational reviews, and leadership presentations.
- Support KPI governance by improving visibility into key supply chain performance indicators and ensuring reporting is accurate, timely, and consistent.
- Provide analytical support for supplier performance tracking, inventory analysis, forecast accuracy improvement, planning effectiveness, and operational execution.
- Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to business stakeholders using data storytelling and effective visualization techniques.
Business Intelligence & Data Tools
- Design and execute data extraction, transformation, and analysis workflows using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, R, Excel, and other analytics platforms.
- Build and maintain data models, queries, reporting logic, and visualization layers that support business intelligence solutions.
- Support dashboard automation and self-service reporting capabilities to improve access to supply chain insights.
- Validate data accuracy, troubleshoot reporting issues, and support resolution of system, data, or process inconsistencies.
- Document reporting logic, data definitions, data sources, and analytical processes to ensure sustainability and standardization.
- Partner with business teams, data owners, and analytics teams to improve reporting consistency, data quality, and metric definitions.
Process Automation & Efficiency
- Identify manual reporting activities, repetitive processes, and data handling inefficiencies that can be improved through automation.
- Support the development of automated workflows, reporting pipelines, scripts, and digital tools that reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency.
- Use automation tools, low-code/no-code solutions, and coding assistants such as Codex, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar platforms to support analytics and reporting productivity.
- Assist in the implementation of scalable reporting and automation solutions in partnership with Analytics, Digital, IT, and Supply Chain teams.
- Recommend data-based solutions to improve supply chain visibility, decision-making, standardization, and operational execution.
- Support continuous improvement projects through analytics, modeling, scenario analysis, business case development, and process documentation.
Artificial Intelligence & Advanced Analytics Support
- Support the use of AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics to improve reporting, data analysis, exception management, forecasting insights, and supplier performance visibility.
- Assist in identifying practical AI and automation use cases that improve productivity, reduce cycle time, and enhance decision support.
- Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate analysis, summarize insights, support documentation, and improve reporting efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to test, refine, and implement AI-supported analytics solutions.
- Stay current on emerging analytics, automation, and AI capabilities that can be applied to Supply Chain processes.
Supply Chain Business Support
- Partner with stakeholders across Governance, Supplier Performance, Planning, Inventory, Demand, Forecasting, Procurement, and Master Data to understand business challenges and analytical needs.
- Support supplier performance analysis through dashboards, scorecards, trend analysis, and root cause identification.
- Support forecast and demand planning processes by analyzing forecast accuracy, demand trends, planning performance, and supply visibility.
- Provide analytical support for inventory optimization, service level performance, risk identification, and operational improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with business teams and data owners to improve master data quality and support data governance initiatives.
- Train and support end users in the effective use of dashboards, reports, analytics tools, and automated outputs.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Information Systems, Operations Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, supply chain analytics, operations analytics, or related functions.
- Experience supporting Supply Chain functions such as Governance, Supplier Performance, Planning, Inventory, Demand Planning, Forecasting, Procurement, and/or Master Data.
- Hands-on experience with analytics, visualization, and reporting tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Phyton, Excel, or similar platforms.
- Strong knowledge of data analysis, dashboard development, reporting automation, data visualization, and performance measurement.
- Ability to extract, transform, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources.
- Solid understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain processes and key performance drivers.
- Experience working with ERP systems, planning systems, reporting platforms, or large enterprise datasets.
- Familiarity with automation tools, AI-enabled technologies, or coding assistants such as Codex, Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar tools.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and translate business needs into analytical solutions.
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a multinational or matrixed business environment.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP platforms.
- Experience with forecasting models, inventory analytics, supplier scorecards, planning performance metrics, or supply chain KPI reporting.
- Experience with R for statistical analysis, data modeling, automation, or advanced analytics.
- Familiarity with data governance practices, master data management, and metric standardization.
- Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or similar.
- Experience developing automated reports, workflows, scripts, or low-code/no-code solutions.
- Exposure to AI, machine learning, predictive analytics, or advanced analytics applied to business or supply chain problems.
- APICS/ASCM certification, such as CPIM or CSCP, is a plus.
