JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives

  • Lead Utilities Excellence program for the plan and execut e plant wide energy improvement projects which includes RCE pr eparation and submi ssion.
  • Identify energy savings opportunities and make recommendations to achieve more energy efficient operation.
  • Conduct energy audits to evaluat e energy use, costs, or conservation measures.
  • Perform energy modeling, measurement, verification, commissioning
  • Cond uct onsit e observations, field inspections, or sub-m etering to collect data for energy conservation analyses.
  • In spect or monitor energy systems, including heating, ventilat in g, and air conditioning (HVAC) or daylighting systems to determine energy use or potential energy savings.
  • Eva luat e construction design informat ion such as detail and assembly drawings, design calculati ons, system layouts and sketches, or specificat ions.
  • Prepare project reports and other program or technical documentation.
  • Review or negotiate energy purchase agr eeme nts.
  • Conduct research or collect data on renewable or alternative energy systems anassess feasibility for site implementation.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Establish multi-discipline site energy team to drive success on site energy management program and ISO 50001.
  • Organize and lead weekly and monthly site energy team meetings.
  • Understand sit e energy budget (cost and volumes), track and report regularly on energy usage and cost.
  • Ensure that energy performance goals are established for the site through ENMS system.
  • Take charge as SME in energy metering management.
  • Regularly communicat e to the site leader ship and site population on energy program goals and progress against tho se goals.
  • Conduc or   organize   site   energy   assessment s   or   energy   scan   t o   identify   conser vation opportunities on a periodic basis.
  • Oversee & prioritize energy related opportunities through to completion.
  • En gagethe site energy team and ot her tools to raise awarenessof conservat ion & usage at th e site .
  • Participate in development of energy procurement str ate gy, maintaining familiarity with the key aspect s of the site's supply side management.
  • Participate in telecons/ meeting with other sit es in the region/ network to share ene rgy conservation success stories .
  • Train personnel or clients on topics such as energy management.

Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree majoring in Electrical, Control & Instrumentation, Chemical, Environmental or related discipline or Diploma with minimum 5 years of experience.
  • Singapore Certified Energy Manager certification.
  • Water Efficiency Manager certification preferred.
  • Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Ability to organize, motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skill s
  • Mentoring and coaching skills.
  • Knowledge of cGMP is highly preferred
