About the role

The IAM/IGA Lead Software Engineer/Architect will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and enhancing our Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) solutions, as well as overseeing the third-party vendor’s developers.  This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, configure SailPoint solutions, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and applications.  This position requires the engineer to play a critical role in application onboarding, enhancing security measures, managing user access, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, ensuring coding standards are applied and reviewed, and project estimates are appropriate.  The engineer must have solid coding skills for designing and implementing various software systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in identity and access management (IAM) and hands-on experience with SailPoint, in addition to Agile and JIRA Kanban methodologies.

The IAM/IGA Software Engineer is expected to perform the following duties:

  • Oversee third-party developers
  • Perform code reviews for all projects
  • Provide guidance on strategic initiatives
  • Implementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructure
  • Understanding customer requirements and project KPIs
  • Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation
  • Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.
  • Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugs
  • Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating
  • Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
  • Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
  • Mentoring and guiding the team members
  • Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIs
  • Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer

The IAM/IGA Lead Software Engineer/Architect should possess the following technical skills:

  • 8+ years’ experience working with SailPoint Identity IQ
  • Extended SailPoint IdentityIQ with custom forms, workflows, rules and reports.
  • Strong proficiency in SailPoint IdentityIQ, including configuration, customization, and integration
  • Proven experience in managing IAM solutions, including identity provisioning, access request management, and role-based access control
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IAM system issues
  • Strong understanding of IT security principles and best practices
  • Certifications in SailPoint IdentityIQ or other relevant IAM technologies are preferred
  • Software development skills (Java, J2EE, XML, RESTful Web Services, JDBC technologies and SQL)
  • Knowledge of various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Iterative)
  • API design and development (REST services, SOAP, OpenAPI/Swagger)
  • CI/CD experience
  • SQL and data design
  • Serverless systems design

The Lead Software Engineer/Architect should be familiar with the following tools:

  • Agile and issue management tools (Jira)
  • Source code management and revision control (Git, GitHub, BitBucket, Subversion)
  • Continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GitHub actions)
  • Databases (SQL and NoSQL)
  • IDEs (VS Code, Eclipse)
  • Cloud environments (AWS)
