The Vice President of Investor Relations, reporting to our Chief Financial Officer is responsible for developing and executing an investor relations strategy to effectively communicate the company’s vision, financial performance, and growth strategy to shareholders, analysts, and the broader financial community. This role ensures the company's messaging aligns with its strategic goals while fostering strong relationships with investors and analysts.
How You'll Shine:
- Investor Communications:
- Serve as the primary contact for investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, and conference calls.
- Develop and maintain consistent and compelling messaging for the company’s financial story and strategic objectives.
- Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Collaborate with the finance team to understand and explain financial results, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Analyze investor and analyst sentiment and provide feedback to executive leadership.
- Monitor and report on industry trends, competitor performance, and capital market developments.
- Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, analysts, and shareholders.
- Organize and participate in investor conferences, roadshows, and one-on-one meetings.
- Strategic Advisory:
- Advise the executive team on market perceptions, investor concerns, and emerging issues that could impact shareholder value.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all investor communications and disclosures.
- Corporate Governance:
- Manage the company’s disclosure practices, ensuring alignment with SEC and other regulatory requirements.
- Act as a key resource during the annual shareholder meeting and other governance-related activities.
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in investor relations, corporate finance, or capital markets.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and capital markets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal with the ability to simplify complex financial data for diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of building and managing relationships with institutional investors and analysts.
- Understanding of financial markets, SEC regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with investors, analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to provide valuable insights and recommendations to senior management, shareholders and Board of Directors.
Preferred Traits:
- Strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the financial and competitive landscape.
- Proficiency in investor relations tools, databases, and platforms (e.g., Bloomberg, FactSet).
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments.
Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
